I keep coming back on OM Photography's page when I'm researching for our wedding photographer.  I love the vivid colors! :)

When I heard that they'll be having a price increase soon, I shoot an email to them and ask for the price, terms, etc. I then arranged a meeting so that we'll know if we're okay or not.  We actually decided to book them but in the back of my mind, I'm planning for Plan B if ever our personality will not "click".. Though over the phone, (Otep called me when I have lots of inquiries..hahaha!) I found Otep was really nice and easy to talk to. 

Come this day, Kim and I met him with my MOH,  and to my surprise I find it waaaay easy to talk to him.  And it was our first time to meet a supplier.  He is not intimidating (like the one's we found in some bridal fairs), and it seems to me that he's not doing a sales talk.  We can easily ask something without feeling uneasy.  Kim and I are natural-born shy person so I was happy that It was Kim who was so eager about checking out OM's work.  Otep even told us to think if we'll get them or not but still we insist to book him right away! :)

Reception Hunting..

Since we booked the Church yesterday, our itinerary for today is to hunt for the possible reception.  Caleruega receptions is a no-no since we know "masyadong madameng restrictions" when we'll be having a party within the premises of the Church. (mahaharot kasi kame..hahaha!) 

Nung nagsearch ako online, one venue that captured my heart is Rosemont Gardens, aside from it being near Caleruega, it also has a nice view of Taal!  Affordable din yung rates nya.  I requested Kim that we do an ocular sa venue. (Ooops! before I forget..one should need a permission sa owner to do an ocular here.. :))

When we arrived sa Rosemont, akala ko simple lang sya, antaas kasi ng gate.  Nung pumasok kame..nakapukaw ng attention ko yung steep na daan pababa..nasabihan na ako na steep ang daan dito pero hindi ko naexpect na ganun siya ka-steep!hahaha..bumawi naman sa steepness ang flowers sa daanan! :)

We went to see the house first..hehehe..It was cozy and nakakatuwa, nag-argue pa kame ni Kim on who's gonna sleep sa bridal suite!haha.. (Siyempre, ako panalo!hahaha!) Sa sobrang gusto ko yung inside ng house...hindi ako nakapagpicture!hahaha! :)

After seeing the Gazebo.  Kim went to the garden to check it out. 

 Dito palang, "this is it" moment na! I saw Kim fell in love with the place as he explore the gardens.  Moment nya yun kaya hinayaan ko siyang magikot.. Akala ko aabot na siya sa Taal kakaikot..hahaha! :)

So that's it!  We didn't go to the other reception venues that I listed since Kim and I really fell in love with the place! Really a "this is it" moment for us! :)

Church Booked! So let the preparations begin! :)

The Transfiguration Chapel (Caleruega)

I had a lot of research on this church because most of bride-to-be's are so into this Chapel. I requested Kim that we visit this place since I'm really curious about this Chapel. 

On 02.25.2012, we decided to check Caleruega.  When we arrived, we didn't go directly to the chapel, instead, our feet lead us to the wide "nature park" within the premises of the chapel's compound  (I don't know what its called hehe). While roaming around, Kim told me, "grabe ang layo layo dito! Wag mong sabihing dito tayo magpapakasal..Kawawa bisita natin!" Binalewala ko nalang yung sinabi nya since we have the church in mind already.. :)

However, when we arrived in the Chapel, Kim was speechless.  After a few minutes, here's his statement..."Hala....ang ganda nga nya, pero ang layo eh... " (can you feel the change in his mood??!)hahaha! :) 

After that he asked me to check some suppliers and to check which location will we be able to have savings. I told Kim that we will almost have the same budget when we will held the big day in our target venue Manila or in Tagaytay.  We also had a survey to some of our close friends if they will still come if wedding will be held in out of town and we will not shoulder their accommodation or transportation. They said they will still attend the wedding. Therefore, we decided to have our wedding in this Chapel.  :)

We booked our target date today (mega excited!).  Exactly 2 years before the day!  B.O.O.K.E.D! :)

Food Tasting with Center Table

Super shy pa kame when we arrived sa venue. We don't have any idea what to do!haha.. We're so thankful na iniiwan kame ng AE while we ate pero mali pala yun..mas maganda palang andun sila for us to ask the questions right away about sa food, set up, etc.. (atleast lesson #1. hehe).

Kim loved their food! Salad and dessert lang nakain ko kasi busog pa ko.. :( (lesson #2. Wag pumunta ng FT ng busog!hahaha)

Arrangement is simple and we're not able to ask if we have to upgrade to get the arrangement we want sa reception since nawawala nga ang AE. Iba daw kasing AE ang naghahandle pag Tagaytay weddings.. :(

Lesson #3, magpicture sa FT! wala akong pic ng mga food nila.. :(

Verdict: Food is good. Set up, we have no idea. Affordable pero may additional ng 100php per waiter kapag ang venue ay sa target namen..haaay! Still, AFFORDABLE eh! :)
